Shilton D'Silva (born 15 September 1992) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Amchi Mumbai. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Shilton started his career when he was discovered playing for his school team, St. Pius, and selected to play for the Maharashtra U14 side. After playing for the state during a 10-day football festival, he joined the youth set-up of I-League side Mahindra United. While with Mahindra United, Shilton played for the under-15 side in the Manchester United Premier Cup. Then, when Mahindra United U15s played against the India U16 side D'Silva was spotted by youth coach Colm Toal and was thus selected to join the India youth set-up. The midfielder started his career with the Pailan Arrows and played for them from 2010 to 2013. The youngster went on to join defending champions Bengaluru FC where he was part of the squad that won the Federation Cup. On 31 March 2015, D'Silva signed the Mumbaikars on loan from Bengaluru FC for the remainder of the 2014-15 seasin. The midfielder made his debut for Mumbai on 22 April against Sporting Goa. He came on as a 85th-minute substitute for Climax Lawrence as Mumbai drew 1–1. Shilton returned to Mumbai the following season on a permanent basis for the 2015-16 season and has been a mainstay since then.
